About the Impactful Partnership

The Peoples Church launched a Capital Campaign in 2024, a component of which is to fund an impactful community outreach project.

“LINCS is a fantastic organization, doing remarkable work for families in the Lansing area… So much so that they have a need for increased capacity. Members of The Peoples Church won’t just provide funding, but also will be able to directly contribute their time and skills to complete this transformative project.”

- Rev. Dr. Monroe, The Peoples Church Senior Pastor

In this initiative, Habitat Capital Region will renovate a home previously gifted by University of Michigan Health – Sparrow, transforming it into accessible and supportive housing for adults with disabilities through LINCS. Extensive renovations will be funded by a generous contribution from The Peoples Church, making this life-changing project possible.

"This collaboration is an enviable model that brings together families, nonprofits, and the faith community to solve struggles faced by members of our community. The generosity and commitment of The Peoples Church and Habitat Capital Region to this project will ensure that LINCS can continue to offer a stable, sustainable residential community where individuals with developmental disabilities can live their best lives well into the future.”

- Mary Douglass, parent and LINCS board member
