Fellow veteran Ken Somes put his time, talent, and treasure into something extraordinary for homeowner Randy.
Ken was watching the news last May and heard them mention a veteran that Habitat CR was serving and immediately knew he wanted to contribute in his unique way. He creates beautiful plaques honoring different community members’ service. After hearing of Randy he got in touch with WLNS and Habitat CR to make this wonderful idea come to life.
This month Ken completed his plaque for Randy and was able to present it to him in person. It is random acts of kindness like this that makes Habitat’s work even more worthwhile. Thank you to everyone involved for making this such a beautiful event.
