After a decade of uncertainty in subsidized apartments, Brittni’s family home is finally providing her and her kids a stable home of their own
Through Habitat Capital Region’s Homeownership Program, Brittni has transformed years of struggle into a foundation of independence and stability for her family.
Brittni closed on her house in December, marking a new chapter in her life – homeowner! As she and her four children settle, Brittni revels in the simple joys – peaceful nights and the freedom to welcome friends and family into their home. They had a blast hosting them in the backyard this summer.
Looking ahead with a heart full of gratitude, Brittni says, “My next steps are to raise the kids. I had to focus so much on achieving things we needed as a family, and now it’s time to sit back, relax, and focus on what they need as individuals.”
Celebrating Brittni's Family Home
We are so happy to see Brittni’s success in building a brighter future for her family through the Habitat Capital Region Homeownership Program.
She was invited to be the speaker at the 2024 Heart of Habitat Gratitude Gala, where she shared her journey to homeownership and her thanks to each person in attendance for their help in getting her to this point.
